Insane performance showed by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and Dimensity 9400 in benchmarks

Initial reports about the Dimensity 9300 suggest that it will be 10% faster than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.The two chips have already been compared, but the focus is now on the upcoming Dimensity 9400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.

A user on a Vietnamese forum has found benchmark results for both chips on Geekbench 6.1 and AnTuTu 10.Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is like a sprinter, good at single-core performance but loses in the marathon of multi-core Geekbench test. Same as 2023 chips.

Looks like MediaTek is the winner here. It has an overall score that is 10% higher than the other one on AnTuTu. The breakdown shows that it has a CPU score that is 12% higher and a GPU score that is 7% higher.
The new chips are way better than the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Dimensity 9300, assuming these results are legit. The results are approximately 50% higher, which is questionable for a generational upgrade.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is expected to reach 4.0GHz on its prime core, according to Digital Chat Station, while the 8 Gen 3 tops out at 3.4GHz.The Apple A17 Pro is expected to reach a clock speed of 3.78GHz.
